UPDATE! Astro recently got to go snowshoeing up at Cypress with a family with 2 little boys, and they all had a blast together! They reported he was a great co-pilot in the car, and had a ton of fun having this family adventure all together. He also is a sound sleeper on the drive home, after a day of exercise too ha! ha!We think Astro is suffering from “all black dog” syndrome and that’s why it’s taken him a little longer to find a home. While our volunteers really enjoy him, he continuously get passed by from adopters for flashier looking dogs. If you’re willing to give our “all black” boy a chance, no doubt you’ll be rewarded!Astro is a fun-loving sort of boy! He knows basic commands already, and while he has a super playful manner at times, he is also easy to handle and mellow when there isn’t a lot going on. He seems to like other dogs as well.He loves to play with toys and will give you the “woo woo, growly” growlies in pure excitement! Astro is a very well rounded dog, although he is having some challenges sharing very high value treats, such as bones, so he’s working on that and showing good progress in his training.Please be advised that our dogs are strays, so we do not have any background history on them.
